On Rosh HaShanah, Jews all over the world read the story of Abraham’s expulsion of Ishmael and near-sacrifice of Isaac. On this Shabbat before the new year, we will be joined by our neighbor, Imam Islam Hassan of the Islamic Society of Vermont, for an exploration of the Islamic tradition on Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac and its relationship to the Torah’s narrative.
We will have a shorter service to allow more learning. Followed by a special Oneg.
