"Pop Up" Jewish Gardening Program

What is the best antidote to a crazy world?

The peace and calm of a beautiful garden!

Please join the Sisterhood of Temple Beth El, Boca Raton on a virtual visit to Rabbi Michael Birnholz’ Biblical Gardens in Temple Beth Shalom, Vero Beach. Where else can you find a Chicken Soup Garden, a spiral-shaped Five Senses Garden, or a flower-shaped Pollinator Garden? The Rabbi’s showpiece is the garden that has all seven varieties of plants listed in Deuteronomy 8: wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, dates, and olives.

Rabbi Birnholz holds the title of “Master Gardener” attained from the University of Florida’s program. Rabbi Birnholz is so knowledgeable and entertaining about tying everyday events, such as gardening, to Jewish values, culture, history, and celebration. He has a multitude of stories to share, as well as his gardens.

Irene will attempt to obtain seeds for those who register so that you will get a chance to try out your green thumb by planting your own mini–Jewish Garden! The seeds that you plant will yield herbs that you will use for your Passover Seder.

Cost is $10. Register now at: Register here NOTE: A Zoom link will be sent to you upon registration. (Registration fee supports the philanthropy of Temple Beth El's Sisterhood)
