Temple Sinai supports a full-service library for all members. Our collection features fiction for children and adults, as well as non-fiction and multimedia resources, including the complete Sami Rohr library of Yiddish audiobooks. The reference collection includes the newly-revised Encyclopedia Judaica, the Junior Jewish Encyclopedia, language dictionaries, and many additional resources to support students and other researchers.
The library strives to be the premier source for Jewish reading and information resources in Northwest Vermont. New books are purchased on a continual basis, including major Jewish award winners, Israeli authors, and books selected for Temple book clubs. The library runs the annual student read-a-thon to promote Jewish reading, and for two years running has partnered with the South Burlington Community Library to offer the Let’s Talk About it: Jewish Literature discussion series.
