Our students are getting all sorts of misinformation at their schools and from their friends. This "teach-in" will look at where Israel came from, the history of Jews there, and address directly the questions our students are asking:
Why are people supporting Hamas?
Why are our school administrators not mentioning the massacre of Jews?
Did Israel steal their land from Palestinians?
Is Israel committing genocide against Gaza?
Are Jews colonialist settlers in Israel?
Is Israel apartheid?
Lead by Rabbi David Edleson, this discussion will be geared to teens, but adults are welcome to learn with us. We aren't serving snacks, so teens should bring their own if needed.
