Temple Sinai is joining Ohavi Zedek for Reverse Tashlich (in case yoga isn’t your thing).
On Rosh Hashanah, Jews around the world participate in the ancient ritual of Tashlich. We got to a body of water and symbolically cast off the sins of the past year to start the new year with purity of heart.
Reverse Tashlich is a local clean-up of a body of water that’s done on the Sunday between RH and YK. We will be cleaning the land near the Pine Street Barge Canal.
Arrive shortly before 2 pm, part at Dealer.com, meet at the Barge Canal for a short ritual and then join us for two hours of cleaning litter of the land.
Wear sturdy shoes, long pants, and long sleeves to protect from possible poison ivy. Bring gloves and eye protection if you have them.
Children ages 8 or older are welcome.
