Introduction to Judaism Course

  • Temple Sinai 500 Swift Street South Burlington, VT, 05403 United States (map)

Married to or dating someone Jewish and want to learn more about this tradition? Interested in converting to Judaism?     Had a b. mitzvah but been away for a while and feeling it’s time to reconnect with Judaism?    Feeling a need to deepen your knowledge to be a more informed Jewish parent?   This Introduction to Judaism is perfect for you!

This 15-course taught by Rabbi David Edleson, a Reform rabbi, and Rabbi Aaron Philmus, a Conservative Rabbi,  it is a great way to learn about Judaism as an adult.  The course is centered on Reform and Conservative Jewish practice and thinking but will explore other forms of Judaism as we learn.  We will also learn from one another through chavruta  (paired) learning, discussions, and shared experiences.  We will learn ideas about human nature, God, ethics, and Jewish holidays and cultural practices.

Join Rabbi David Edleson
