Primary Committee Responsibilities: Plans, coordinates and implements formal and informal Jewish education programs for adults as well as all Temple members. Email the committee chair.
Primary Committee Responsibilities: This committee shall be responsible for the planning and execution of fund-raising activities, exclusive of Men’s Club and Sisterhood, in accordance with the fundraising needs of the congregation. This committee also maintains a fund raising records database; coordinates its work with the Treasurer; and coordinates its policy recommendations with the VP of Marketing and Communication.
Primary Committee Responsibilities: Oversees the financial operations, and legal affairs of the Temple. With members of the Finance/Legal Committee, oversees and tracks Temple investments and endowments. Develops and monitors the annual operating budget for the Temple; makes financial projections; maintains a five year financial plan; recommends changes in fees, dues and disbursements of funds; reviews all contracts and all documents constituting commitments of the Temple.
Primary Committee Responsibilities: Support members in times of need. Promotes a broader understanding of the Temple among prospective members, current members and the community-at-large.
Primary Committee Responsibilities: This committee shall oversee the maintenance of the building and grounds of the Temple. Suggests rules and regulations to the Board regarding maintenance, fees, and use of the building including scheduling events. Maintains adequate and suitable quarters for the congregation and Religious School. Maintains Temple kitchen including supplies and equipment. Email the committee chair.
Primary Committee Responsibilities: Encourages unaffiliated individuals to join the Congregation and develops programs for the recruitment, orientation, integration and retention of all Temple members. Promotes a broader understanding of the Temple among prospective members, current members and the community-at-large.
Primary Committee Responsibilities: Assists with the recruitment and hiring of new Temple employees as indicated; prepares annual performance review for each Temple employee, recommends salary increases and changes to benefit programs and coordinates their recommendations with the Finance/Legal committee. Sets policies and oversees the execution of policies relating to employment of professional and non-professional Temple staff. Oversees compliance of all employment laws in cooperations with the Finance/Legal committee.
Religious School Committee
Works with the Rabbi and Education Director on issues and activities related to the operation of Religious School programming including, but not limited to, educational research, planning events, coordinating activities, developing policies, and reviewing and updating the curriculum as needed.
Social Action Committee
Primary Committee Responsibilities: This committee will provide a program of Temple assistance within the community and represent the Temple in local community outreach programs concerning social and humanitarian issues.
Primary Committee Responsibilities: Recommends the form of worship for weekly services, High Holiday Services and other life cycle events. Suggests policies, or changes in Temple ritual and music, working within the parameters of the Rabbi’s “freedom of the pulpit.”
