Chaverim and Social Action Efforts during COVID-19
April 21, 2020 by Temple Sinai • Chaverim, Temple News, Tikkun Olam • Tags: Coronavirus •
The Chaverim Team is working hard in the time of COVID-19. We recently delivered 30 Passover Care packages to members of our community so they had matzoh and kosher wine for seder. Thank you to Rabbi and Stacie Gabert for all of their help in this effort.
The Chaverim and Social Action committees have been active on several fronts to help people in need during the COVID-19 shutdown.
THAT’S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR!
DO YOU HAVE A SUPER POWER?
We will also be sewing for our members. If you need or know of someone in need of masks, let Chaverim know. We are asking members who are able to make a donation of $7 per mask to the Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund to help us continue our work. We will be sewing until there is no longer a need.
WE NEED MORE PEOPLE TO SEW.
Join us in our efforts to protect our fellow members and citizens. Contact Chaverim to let us know if you can help out and for more details.
If you can’t sew, you can still help. If you’re sitting on a stash of 100% cotton fabric or ¼” elastic, consider gifting it to this project.
